Time till August to complete the challenge
Kamat has given the employees time till August to complete this challenge. This challenge means that in the next 4 months, the employees have a chance to get the full month’s salary as a bonus. However, this challenge is not for everyone. Only fat employees can accept this challenge. Those whose BMI is already low, they cannot take advantage of it even if they want to.
We are running a fun health program at @zerodhaonline, Anyone on our team with BMI <25 gets half a month's salary as bonus. The avg BMI of our team is 25.3 & if we can get to <24 by Aug, everyone gets another month as a bonus. It'd be fun to compete with other companies 1/3

Kamat’s focus remains on the health of the employees
Kamat has been announcing some programs in the past also for the good health of the employees. Last year he started a 12-month get-healthy goal program. In this, people were encouraged to take care of their health amid the corona epidemic. Actually, people were forced to stay in homes due to work from home. Due to this he had to sit continuously for several hours.
have you considered paying high wages, implementing at least 4 weeks of paid vacation, remote work options, and expansive sick leave instead? All of that would result in more “health” for employees than this “get an eating disorder at work” plan you have going here — Annie Bellet (@anniebellet) April 8, 2022
This is pathetic by all means, your BMI determines your salary bonus! Despite knowing it all well, BMI is an outdated metric which doesn’t account for all body types or any ed. This practice isnt healthy, its discriminatory! pic.twitter.com/hJMtqwfRk8

What does BMI mean?
BMI is considered a measure of health. It shows whether a person is fat, perfect or underweight. The formula for BMI is simple. BMI = weight (kg) / height 2
Although it cannot be considered 100% accurate, in the athletics world, a BMI greater than 25 is considered unhealthy. Kamat makes it clear that although BMI is not the most accurate way to track health and fitness, it is the easiest way to take health precautions. He has said that if you want to be healthy then walking 10,000 steps a day would be a great start.
