Washington. Former US President Barack Obama arrived at the White House for the first time in more than five years on Tuesday, the 12th anniversary of his signing of the health care law. He praised President Joe Biden’s efforts to expand the law. The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is still in force today amid repeated attempts by the Republican Party to repeal it. It is also known as ‘Obamacare’.
When Obamacare was enacted into law in March 2010, Biden was vice president in the Obama administration. Biden now wants to increase the reach of the law. He has given all the credit for the Basic Law to former President Obama. Biden said, “It’s all because of you. The law shows that expectation causes change.”

Obama last reached the White House on January 20, 2017 at the swearing-in ceremony of former President Donald Trump. “It’s nice to be in the White House,” he said after Vice President Kamala Harris welcomed Obama to the East Room. Obama said he and Biden had achieved “a lot” in their eight-year term, but “I am most proud of providing better health care and more protection to millions of people across the country.”
“The ACA is an example of why you run for president,” Obama said. At the same time, Biden called the ‘Affordable Care Act’ the most effective law in this area since the ‘Medicare’ and ‘Medicaid’ programs introduced in 1965. He emphasized that it is necessary to take its benefits to more people. Biden said, “We can do this. We should do this. We have to do this.” He said the law has been given many names, but ‘Obamacare’ is the most appropriate name for it.
