Lahore, Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against Pakistan due to a hip injury and will be playing for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League. It is doubtful to play in this season of (IPL 2022) also.
Marsh was bought by Delhi Capitals in the IPL auction for Rs 6.5 crore. He was supposed to join the Delhi team on April 6 after the end of the limited overs series against Pakistan but his availability will now depend on the condition of the injury.

Australia’s ODI captain Aaron Finch said here on Monday that Marsh was injured while fielding on Sunday. His scan has been done which has been sent for examination. “He (Marsh) hurt his hip,” Finch told reporters. We think he got injured during practice. We will have to wait and see how his condition is but the way he was yesterday, I don’t think he will be able to play in this series.”
The three-match ODI series between Australia and Pakistan will begin on Tuesday. After this, the only T20 match will be played on April 5. Marsh last year set an Australian record for most runs in a calendar year by scoring 627 runs in T20 Internationals. (agency)
