UNICEF states that “the fund donated by Binance Charity comes at a critical time, UNICEF needs to increase its activities in Ukraine and neighboring countries to reach every child in need of protection.”
According to UNICEF, the lives of more than 7.5 million children are currently at risk in Ukraine, where Russia and Ukraine have not reached an agreement, despite several diplomatic negotiations.

To receive emergency funds during this time of crisis, Ukraine has started accepting donations in cryptocurrencies from around the world. Over the past weekend, Ukraine’s official Twitter handle posted crypto wallet addresses for donations in Bitcoin and Ether.

Last week, Binance donated $10 million (about Rs 75.5 crore) to help with the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
CNBC quoted data from analytics firm Elliptic as saying that Ukraine has raised more than $54.7 million (about Rs 420 crore) in crypto donations.<!–
