In a shocking revelation, Indian students from Rajasthan deported from Ukraine have claimed that they were harassed by Ukrainian troops in the border areas with Romania and that the Indian Embassy did not provide them any help. Eight students who fled war-torn Ukraine said Indian students were thrashed by Ukrainian soldiers and fired tear gas at them.
Tina Kumar, an MBBS first year student who arrived at Jaipur airport from Ukraine, said, “Ukraine soldiers misbehaved with her at the border. She faced a lot of trouble while crossing the border. She traveled for three days in a row.”
He said, “Ukraine army treated us very badly…They were letting the girls go, but they were beating the boys. They also fired tear gas shells at us. In addition, firing was also being done. Was.”
He said the gate at the border was opened for only 10 minutes and only a few students could enter. He claimed that he did not get any help from the Indian Embassy in Ukraine and on the border.
He said the situation on the Ukrainian border is very bad and thousands of students are trying to enter the Romanian border amid misbehavior by Ukrainian soldiers.
Akshay Soni, a second year MBBS student who returned from Ukraine, said, “There the soldiers pushed a girl, due to which she became unconscious. The situation is very dire. Indian Embassy officials did nothing for us.”

Soni said, “They (Indian Embassy) left us to our fate. We were trying to contact them on the helpline number through WhatsApp, but there was no response. We reached the border on our own.”
“We hired a bus with our own money and reached the border,” he said.
The students said, “We thank the Romanian authorities for treating us well, giving us food and other facilities. We had nothing to eat at the border for three days. We stood most of the time and arrived here.” For us it is like a second birth.”
“We never thought we would face such a situation,” said a student who arrived at the Jaipur airport from Ukraine.
On the return of these students, Industries Minister Shankutala Rawat said, “Today is a very happy day that our own children have returned safely. Romania and other countries took these children to the border with great respect, we express our gratitude to them. We do.”
He said that the Rajasthan government has made arrangements to transport all the 100 students of the state who have returned from Ukraine to their destination. MP Swami Sumedhanand said that there are about 800 students from all over Rajasthan studying in Ukraine, while they have about 100 students from Sikar district.
He told that he has been informed from the Ministry of External Affairs that about 17 thousand people have come home from there, while about three thousand people are still trapped there.
