Amravati. A 15-year-old boy, who had gone for a walk with friends near Sukli village, 2 km from Lalkhadi, died due to drowning in the pond. The incident came to light on Tuesday morning. The deceased is Mohd. Fazil Mo. Farooq (15, Saudagarpura). He was a student of class 10th in Urdu Association School. On Monday afternoon, Mo. Fazil and his three friends Mo. Saqib A. Rauf (15, Saudagarpura), Ryan Khan Ismail Khan (15, Akbar Nagar) and Mo. Ayan Mo. Aijaz (15, Saudagarpura) along with the taxi shop of the premises From bicycle rental to Lalkhadi went out for a walk.
Open case due to non-receipt of bicycle
4 friends went to take selfie at the pond located near Sukli, 2 km from Lalkhadi. Here 4 friends had landed with the intention of swimming in the pond that Fazil’s foot slipped and went into a deep pit. These children tried to ask for help nearby, but no one came forward. Meanwhile, Fazil drowned in the water. Seeing the friend drowning in the water, the three children got scared. He returned home with three cycles. Who got the cycle deposited in the taxi.
Meanwhile, as Fazil did not return home till late evening, the family members started searching. At the same time, the taxi cycle owner also started searching due to non-receipt of cycle. In which it was revealed that Fazil had also taken a bicycle along with 3 children, but he has not returned home.
The family reached Nagpuri Gate police station late in the night after the children had told the whole truth, but due to late night, nothing was found in the pond. On Tuesday morning, the fire rescue team started a search operation in the pond. The rescue team took out Fazil’s body. Nagpuri Gate Police has registered a case of accidental death. In the rescue team, along with Fire Superintendent Sai Anwar, Deepak Doras, Deepak Pal, Gajanan Wadekar were among others.

The police had brought Fazil’s friends to the police station, where his friends told that when Fazil drowned in the pond, he panicked, during which 2 people on horseback came there. Those who pleaded to save Fazil, but instead of helping, they kept Fazil’s purse and mobile outside the pond and left. Those children have also been informed about being threatened.
