Nagpur. The cold war between ST workers and the government continues. In the last two and a half months, about 386 employees have been dismissed, while 128 people have returned to the job. The most interesting thing this time is that for the last 26 days, no ST employee has returned to the job. Employees unions are telling this their success. They say that the pressure created by the Mahamandal on the employees by sacking them is not working now.
Employees are in do or die mood now. As a result of this, now all the employees are paying attention to the strike. Let us inform that in January, when the corporation started the action to sack the employees, so far 386 workers have lost their jobs. After the action in January, the number of workers returning to the job had increased rapidly but later it gradually decreased. After January 17, till today, February 11, no employee has returned to the job.
This gives a clear indication to the employees that they will continue to fight their battles without coming under pressure. As this fight is moving forward, the problems of the employees with the ST Mahamandal are increasing. Mahamandal is worried about running buses in full quantity. At the same time, the employees want to secure their future by merging with the government. At present, the government is avoiding any kind of direct interference in this.
66 buses made 200 rounds
On Friday, ST Mahamandal ran about 66 buses for various places. In which Ganesh Peth-22, Imamwada-5, Ghatrod-19, Umred-3, Savner-7, Vardhman-7, Ramtek-2 and Katol-1 buses were run. These buses made 200 furries in a day. In which 10,367 people traveled. During this time all the buses traveled 19,730 km. The Mahamandal got an income of Rs 7,46,385 from them on Friday.
Buses are not running in full numbers due to the strike of the employees. Due to which the people of rural areas are facing the most problems. They are using private vehicles for travel. Private buses plying here are also charging more fare.
