Aurangabad: Out of 36 lakh 50 thousand jewelery stolen from the marriage ceremony, 425 grams of jewelery worth Rs 25 lakh was returned by the district’s SP Nimit Goyal to the complainant of Nagpur. Due to which a wave of happiness ran on the faces of the complainant Nagpur resident Sunil Radhesham Jaiswal and his wife Rekha Jaiswal.
Aurangabad Rural SP Nimit Goyal said that on December 6, 2021, Sunil Radhesham Jaiswal, 63, resident of Lal Niwas, Mata Mandir Road, Nagpur, and his wife attended a marriage ceremony organized at Surya Lawns, located in Devlai, Beed Bypass Road, adjacent to the city. Rekha Jaiswal had reached Aurangabad. During the marriage ceremony, unidentified thieves stole a diamond set and other jewelery worth 36 lakh 50 thousand kept in Rekha Jaiswal’s bag. A case was registered on the complaint of Sunil Jaiswal at Chikalthana police station in the district regarding this incident.

SP Nimit Goyal said that after registering a case at Chikalthana police station, the rural police started investigation. During investigation, the police came to know that 20-year-old Abhishek Vinod Bhanulia, a resident of Jatkheda in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajyagarh district, stole jewelery from the wedding ceremony. On this information, taking joint action, Rural Crime Branch and Chikalthana police arrested the accused and recovered 425 grams of jewelery worth Rs 24 lakh 77 thousand 850 out of 36 lakh 50 thousand stolen by him. The Jaiswal couple thanked all the policemen involved in this action including Aurangabad Rural SP Nimit Goyal on receiving jewelery worth about Rs 25 lakh recovered from accused Vinod Bhanulia. On this occasion PI Santosh Khetmalas of Rural Crime Branch, PI Devidas Gat of Chikalthana, PSI Yogesh Khatane were present.
