- Students have to live with rented house
Nagpur, As the corona infection is decreasing, the government has decided to start schools-colleges but till now hostels have not been opened in many districts. As a result the students have to live in rented accommodation and have to bear the financial burden. The question before the poor and needy students is from where to get the money for the rented house. Corona has closed government hostels for the last two years. Due to this poor and needy students had to face a lot of problems.
After the relief of the first wave, hostels were started in December 2021 but later as the patients of corona started increasing, it was decided to close the hostel again. After that on January 18, the students were instructed to vacate the hostel immediately, but the students in Nagpur remained adamant on not vacating the hostel. The students protested the order.
The hunger strike started in the hostel itself. Keeping in mind the movement of the students, Social Welfare Minister Dhananjay Munde has ordered the Social Justice Department to start the hostel. Although the hostel is started in Nagpur, the hostels are still closed in some parts of the district. This is the reason why students have to live in rented accommodation and their food has become a big problem. Due to the closure of the hostel, students have to live in rented accommodation, students who are not in good financial condition have to work for money. It is also affecting the studies of the students.
