Mumbai: A few days ago, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) action on senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut’s close friends has once again heated up politics in Maharashtra. The Shiv Sena leader has said that, let them (ED) conduct raids, I will welcome them. Just don’t lie or they will suffer. If an agency lies to achieve a political goal it will have to pay. From officials to ministers, everyone has gone to jail.
Earlier, Raut had said that, the central government is taking such action to intimidate me. He said that arresting Praveen Raut is part of this conspiracy. Let us tell you that the ED has recently arrested Praveen Raut, close to Sanjay Raut in the land scam case of about Rs 1,034 crore.

According to reports, the ED raided Praveen Raut’s house on February 1. His statement was also recorded under section 50 of PMLA. The ED had also attached properties worth Rs 72.65 crore of Pravin Raut in another case.

Quoting an official, the report said that the ED initiated investigation under the provisions of PMLA on the basis of an FIR registered by EOW, Mumbai under sections 420 and 409 read with IPC.
