New Delhi. According to a big news, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Sunday that the Drugs Controller General of India has issued an emergency response to the anti-coronavirus single-dose vaccine ‘Sputnik Light’ in the country. Use is now allowed.
In fact, this step has now been taken after the recommendations of an expert committee of the Central Drugs Authority of India. This recommendation made a big suggestion to allow limited emergency use of Sputnik lights under various regulatory provisions.
Significantly, Sputnik-Lite is completely identical to Component-1 of Sputnik V. In this regard, Mandaviya tweeted that, “DCGI has given emergency use for a single dose of anti-corona vaccine Sputnik Lite in India. In such a situation, it is the ninth vaccine in the country. Along with this, the minister said that this vaccine will also give great strength to the collective fight of the country against the corona virus.
DCGI has granted emergency use permission to Single-dose Sputnik Light COVID-19 vaccine in India.

According to official sources, after a meeting on January 31, in view of the recommendations of the Subject Expert Committee (SEC), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories submitted a proposal to allow import of ‘Sputnik Lite’ vaccine.
Along with this, Dr. Reddy’s also presented important and important data related to the effectiveness and safety of vaccines for limited emergency use and booster dose vaccination. At the same time, the company also said that the ‘Sputnik Lite’ vaccine is approved in 29 countries including Russia and Argentina.
A recent study claimed that the Sputnik-V vaccine and its single-dose Sputnik light booster vaccine demonstrated strong protection against the highly contagious Omicron form of the coronavirus. Due to which now its emergency use has now been allowed in India as well.
