Nagpur. On the occasion of World Cancer Day, HCG NCHRI Cancer Center Nagpur, Nagpur organized a Cyclothon Drive ‘Hopes of Hopes’ at Telangkhedi on Sunday to create awareness on Cancer. . Which was organized in association with Laughter Riders, Encyclopedia, The Cyclists, Jhulelal Runners Academy and more than 200 cyclists participated in the event.
Sohail Athar, Mohd Irshad Ahmed, Priyanka Sahu, Bharti Khilarkar and Kavita Nath flagged off the Cyclothon at 6:30 am. After which the drivers traveled via Hanuman Mandir in Telangkhedi, WCL Headquarters, Japanese Garden, Katol Road, Katol Naka Chowk, Jaripatka Chowk, PowerGrid Chowk, Automotive Chowk to HCG Cancer Hospital.

Cycling a great exercise: Dr. Ajoy Mehta

Cycling is a great exercise. It’s a healthy, eco-friendly and fun way to communicate the importance of fitness. We are happy to provide medical assistance to the participants. 13.9 lakh cancer cases in 2020
According to The National Cancer Registry Program Report 2020 by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), there were 13.9 lakh cancer cases in India in 2020. Now this figure can increase to 15.7 lakh by 2025. The estimates are based on data from 28 population-based cancer registries (PBCRs) and 58 hospital-based cancer registries (HBCRs) across India between 2012-16.
