He said that the private sector would be encouraged to establish a sustainable business model for battery or energy service. This will improve the EV (Electric Vehicle) ecosystem. He said that the use of public transport would be encouraged in urban areas. All this will be possible through clean technology, zero fossil fuel policy and electric vehicles.
The Finance Minister said that under the policy, the facility of rapid rollout will be given to the Battery Swapping Centers. In these centres, EV owners will be able to charge the vehicle by replacing their battery with the charged battery. That is, in the event of the battery running out of the electric vehicle, a charged battery can be taken from the battery swapping center. In return, the vehicle owner will have to give his expired battery.
The biggest advantage of this will be that the time taken to charge the battery will be saved. At present, only a few such options are available. In most cases, EV owners have to wait for hours at charging stations.
