Akola. Ambulance service at District Women’s Hospital in Akola, which is responsible for women’s health in 26 tehsils, has been affected. The risk has increased due to the corona positive of female patients including doctors and nurses here. For this, the relatives of the patient need to be more careful. There are 45 doctors and 321 nurses of different cadres in the District Women’s Hospital. Corona has been infected only by the medical staff of the government hospital. There is a danger to the life of medical staff due to contact with patients.
Corona patients are being found in the District Women’s Hospital for the last four days. In which the corona infection of 23 doctors and nurses created a big crisis. Some of the 23 have recovered and are back on duty. Medical Superintendent Dr. Aarti Kulwal has expressed hope that the remaining 8 doctors will also recover soon and return to duty.
District Women’s Hospital has 12 wards and daily more than 300 women are admitted for various treatments including childbirth. About 45 deliveries take place every day. In the current situation, it is becoming difficult to treat such a large number of women. Still, doctors and nurses on duty are rendering services without risking their lives.
It is necessary to strictly follow the rules in the hospital premises
The relatives of the women who came for treatment are eating food while sitting with the said woman in the hospital premises. this is wrong. Due to this the risk of corona has increased. In view of the woman admitted for treatment, the relatives of the patient should follow the rules issued by the Health Department on the corona background, this call has been made by the District Women’s Hospital Administration.
