Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Thursday expressed concern over the uproar by students in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar regarding the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) and Railway RRB-NTPC Examination (RRB-NTPC). Said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should change its ‘narrow thinking of selling pakodas to the youth’.
Mayawati said in a series of tweets, “There is a huge uproar in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar for several days regarding UPTET and now RRB-NTPC exam results of Railways. This is proof of the failures of the governments. The beating of poor youth and unemployed youth for playing with and protesting against the future is totally unjustified.”

In another tweet, he said, “Poverty and unemployment have reached the peak due to wrong policies of the government. Government jobs and the facility of reservation in them have become secondary. In such a situation, it is unjust to not have the examination even for small government jobs for years. BJP should change its narrow thinking of selling pakodas to the youth.
It is worth mentioning that in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh and Patna, the capital of Bihar, the candidates had created a lot of ruckus alleging irregularities in the results of NTPC recruitment examination of the Railways. In Prayagraj on Tuesday, students reached the railway track and tried to stop the trains. After that, in a video on social media, policemen were seen entering a guest house and brutally beating up the students.

Several policemen have been suspended in this case. On the other hand, in Patna, the candidates set fire to a bogie of the train and stopped a goods train in front of the Rajendra Nagar terminal, alleging rigging in the RRB-NTPC exam. (agency)
