Mumbai: A debate has started regarding the name of a playground in Mumbai. In fact, a ground named after Tipu Sultan is to be inaugurated on 26 January in Malad, Mumbai by Congress leader and Guardian Minister of Mumbai Aslam Shaikh in his constituency. Before this inauguration, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), including the BJP, has raised objections.
VHP leader Sriraj Nair tweeted on the issue, saying that it was done with the intention of ruining the peace of Mumbai and it could have been avoided. Maharashtra is a holy land and naming a project after a ruthless anti Hindu is condemnable.

BJP leader Ram Kadam has issued a statement on Twitter saying that 24 hours ago, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray spoke of Shiv Sena’s Hindutva and now the ground in Mumbai is being named after Tipu Sultan as the Chief Minister of the state. Under the leadership of the Thackeray government, his minister Tipu Sultan will inaugurate the ground.
