New Delhi: The IPL 2022 Mega Auction is going to be held on 12-13 February. BCCI has released the list of 1214 players by tweeting, who will be a part of the mega auction of IPL and they have registered their names for it. However, there are no such names in this list, which have surprised fashion, such as Chris Gayle, Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Jofra Archer. Apart from these, Mahendra Singh’s capable all-rounder and young England player Sam Curran will also not be a part of IPL this year. The reason for which he himself has given by tweeting.
Sam played for Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, who won the IPL title for the fourth time last season. Sam himself has now told why he didn’t register for the IPL Mega Auction this year.
It was agreed that sadly I should not enter the IPL auction this year and to focus on my rehabilitation. I’m back in the nets and feeling great so hope to be back soon, Wishing everyone all the best for the tournament. I look forward to starting the season with @surreycricket

Sam wrote in the tweet, “I am recovering from my injury right now. I am undergoing rehabilitation. That is why after the consent of the coach and others, I have decided not to enter the auction. It’s sad for me. I have started bowling again in the nets and feel very good. Hope to be back soon, wishing everyone all the best for the tournament. I am looking forward to start the season.”

It is to be known that due to a lower back injury, Sam Curran was able to play only 9 matches in IPL 2021. After which he could not even make it to the T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman due to the same injury. Apart from this, he could not even play the Ashes series. He played 9 matches for CSK last year in which he took 9 wickets and scored 56 runs.
