New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda on Sunday said that the party’s micro-donation campaign will inculcate a sense of ownership in the people about the party, which will promote the culture of public participation in politics. Digitally addressing the workers of BJP Yuva Morcha, Nadda said that this campaign is a big step towards transparent governance and self-reliance within the party.
On December 25 last year, on the birth anniversary of senior BJP leader and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the party had launched a “special micro-donation campaign” to raise funds through small contributions from its members and others. Several BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had donated and urged others to contribute.

Nadda said, “These micro donations will strengthen democracy by ensuring that the party remains self-reliant (self-reliant) in wealth collection and works in the best interest of the nation.” It will encourage a culture of public participation in politics along with a sense of ownership in the party.
He added that the donation under this campaign can be as low as Rs 5 and at the same time, the donor can choose to contribute a maximum of Rs 1,000. “…the micro-donation campaign is a big step towards transparent governance and self-reliance within the party,” Nadda said.
BJP President Nadda also released the Good Governance magazine prepared by BJYM for its workers and citizens. Nadda said, “Good Governance Patrika is a commendable effort by BJYM. In a very simple way, it explains the purpose of each scheme, its beneficiaries, where to go, and how to avail the benefits of the scheme. (agency)
