Bhiwandi: Recently, the Office of the Commissioner of Textiles had issued rules for all Powerloom-Textile consumers that in order to continue the benefit of Subsidy Tariff, consumers have to go online on the website www.dirtexmah.gov.in. Application will have to be made and their service (electricity connection) will have to be approved by the Textile Committee.
It is noteworthy that according to the circular issued by the Torrent Power Company to inform the electricity consumers, the Office of the Textile Commissioner – Nagpur has issued a letter on January 3, in which such powerlooms with a load of more than 27 HP and It has been asked to stop the subsidy of textile customers whose service (electricity connection) is not present in the list approved by the Textiles Commission. With reference to the said letter, Torrent Power has received instructions from Mahavitaran to discontinue subsidy for such service (electricity connection) which is not in the approved list by the Textiles Commissionerate. According to the instructions of the Office of the Textile Commissioner, those services (electricity connections) which are not in the above list, their bills for January-22 will be made at non-subsidised rates.

Torrent Power sent information
Intimation letters and e-mails along with their monthly electricity bills have been sent by Torrent Power to all such electricity consumers whose e-mails are registered with Torrent Power. Torrent Power being a franchisee of Mahavitaran is bound to abide by the guidelines issued by Mahavitaran.
Online application required for electricity subsidy
Torrent Power has requested the consumers to apply online on the website www.dirtexmah.gov.in as soon as possible, to be eligible for the electricity subsidy. Torrent Power Public Relations Officer Chetan Badiani has appealed to the electricity consumers to contact the nearest Torrent Power customer care center for all the subsidy related information.
