For the last three days, more than two and a half thousand patients are being received daily. If the number of patients keeps increasing in this way, then it will not take long to become a terrible situation. On this background, preparations have been started to reopen the Jumbo Covid Hospital located at Annasaheb Magar Sports Complex in Pimpri Nehru Nagar with 100 beds. One crore 18 lakh rupees will be spent on this hospital for a period of two months.
After the first round of Corona outbreak in July 2020, a Jumbo COVID Hospital was set up by the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) at Anna Saheb Magar Sports Complex in Nehru Nagar. In this meeting, it has been decided to reopen Jumbo COVID Hospital from January 15.
800 beds capacity in COVID Hospital
On January 14, the number of infected in the city has crossed two and a half thousand. Due to this, it has been decided to start the Jumbo COVID Hospital of Magar Stadium again. This jumbo covid hospital has a capacity of 800 beds. Out of this, a 100-bed hospital is being started at present. It will have 80 beds with oxygen and 20 beds with ICU. For this, manpower will be procured from the lowest bidder Medbroz Healthcare Diagnostic Center in the tender issued earlier by PMRDA. In a period of two months from January 15 to March 14, 2022, 4 crore 97 lakh will be spent on oxygen beds and 5 crore 17 lakh on ICU beds and Rs 10 crore 14 lakh will be spent. For this, Medbroz Healthcare will be ordered in phases. Under this, one crore 18 lakh 60 thousand rupees will be spent to start a 100-bed hospital for two months.
Corona Care Center in 2 buildings of Gharkul
The number of corona patients has knocked the third wave. In this background, in the meeting of Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Patil held on January 4, the Corona Care Center at Chikhali Gharkul was restarted for a period of two months. According to this, at present 125 patients are admitted in Corona Care Center located in B-12 Bhawan, Gharkul. Therefore, it is necessary to start the center in building number 10 also. Work orders have been issued to allow Icon Hospital to run Corona Care Center for a period of one month from January to February 2022. Its cost will be 24 lakh 42 thousand rupees.
