Nagpur. Incidents of chain snatching have come down in the city, but now the group of mobile snatchers has become active. In the recent past, incidents of mobile snatching are coming to the fore. The accused are specifically targeting the girls. A few days ago, the accused on a two-wheeler snatched the mobile from the hand of a teenager in Hudco Colony of Jaripatka. On Saturday, 2 incidents took place in Ajni police station area. The robbers snatched the mobile from the hands of 2 girls.
The incident also came to light in Beltarodi police station area on Sunday afternoon. Ajni police registered a case on the complaint of Mahesh Hiralal Tulsikar (39), resident of Chintamaninagari. Mahesh’s daughter was going to tuition class at 3.30 pm. In New Virajnagar, 3 youths on a moped snatched the mobile phone from his hand. The daughter informed Mahesh about the incident and complained to the police.
The police had reached the spot that within 1 hour the second incident took place in Suyognagar area. Neha Rajendraprasad Shah (20) was going to attend the Haldi-Kumkum program at her friend’s place during 4.30 pm. The 3 accused on a two-wheeler snatched the mobile phone from Neha’s hand and fled. In both the incidents, the hand of only one gang is being told.
The third incident took place in Beltarodi police station area. The police registered a case on the complaint of Manoj Chamrulal Tembhre (27), a resident of Khapri Rehab. Manoj was walking towards Shankarpur while talking on the phone. Meanwhile, 3 accused riding on a two-wheeler snatched the mobile from his hand and fled. Police have started investigation by registering a case of robbery.
