what was the matter
Let us tell you that due to blockade by the protesters in Punjab on Wednesday, 5 January, the Prime Minister’s convoy was stuck on the flyover in Ferozepur for about 15 to 20 minutes. Thereafter he returned to Delhi from Punjab without attending any program including a rally. In this regard, Home Minister Amit Shah had said that such negligence in the security process during the visit of the Prime Minister is completely unacceptable and accountability will be fixed.
Channi Sarkar changed DGP
At the same time, hours before the election code of conduct in Punjab, Channi government removed DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay. The government has appointed 1987 batch IPS VK Bhawra as the new DGP of Punjab. In fact, DGP Chattopadhyay was constantly under the scanner on the issue of lapse in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
