Nagpur. After the stationery scam echoed in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation, the mayor announced the formation of an inquiry committee under the chairmanship of ruling party leader Avinash Thackeray, but even after passing 10 days, the committee has not been formed yet. When will the investigation of the whole case be completed due to the delay in the formation of the inquiry committee itself? There are question marks about this.
It is noteworthy that recently the committee submitted a report to the mayor regarding the garbage scam. The committee also took 8 months for this investigation. In view of this, now doubts are being raised about the investigation of stationery scam being completed at least during the tenure of this power. According to experts, in view of the ongoing activities of the Election Commission, the general elections of the Municipal Corporation are also expected to be held on time. If elections are held on time, the model code of conduct will be imposed sometime in February, after which the investigation will also get stuck.
Police checking mobile data
On behalf of Municipal Commissioner, Mr. The committee was formed under the leadership of Commissioner Meena, but due to the scam in the administration itself and the administration itself, the assembly of the Municipality rejected the committee, raising doubts about it. According to sources, if there was a committee of administration, then after the general elections, the power in the Municipal Corporation should be with anyone, but this investigation could have continued. But now it is not possible. Apart from this, now after the investigation of stationery scam has been transferred to the EOW department of the police, the police is scrutinizing the mobile data of the officers, employees and agency of the concerned departments. It is believed that soon many revelations will be made from this.
All three accused are in jail
According to sources, in the stationery scam, the police had arrested Ashfaq, the auditor of the Finance Department, Mohan Padvanshi, an employee of the General Administration Department and Rajesh Meshram, the Accounts Officer of the Finance Department. All three were sent to jail on magisterial custody remand by the District Sessions Court. It is said that after the MCR, all three were to be bailed out, but due to the judge being on leave, the three accused are still in jail. The lawyers of the accused are of the view that other courts are not inclined to pass any order on this issue. Perhaps after the judge comes this week, they will be able to get bail.
