Delhi Weekend Curfew from Tonight: Weekend curfew is going to be implemented once again in the national capital Delhi from today i.e. Friday night. In view of the increasing cases of corona virus and Omicron variants, the Delhi government has decided to impose weekend curfew in the capital from today. According to this, the weekend curfew will be in force from 10 pm on Friday to 5 am on Monday.
During this, metros and buses will run with full seating capacity strictly following the COVID-19 guidelines. Let us inform that the night curfew is already in force in the capital from 10 pm to 5 am, but the effect is not visible from the night curfew. Meanwhile, the cases of corona are increasing rapidly and hence the decision was taken to impose weekend curfew.
We tell you who will be allowed to travel during the weekend curfew…
Metros and buses will run with 100% seating capacity during curfew strictly following the COVID-19 guidelines. However, during this time passengers will not be allowed to travel standing. Boarding of buses will be allowed only through the back door, while de-boarding can be done only from the front.
Government officials who are not involved in essential services will work from home. Wherein in the case of private offices, 50% of the employees will work from home.
The curfew will not affect the functioning of testing labs, oxygen suppliers and other medical services.
There is a complete ban on movement during the curfew period except in case of emergency. However, the following categories will be exempted.
Officers and employees involved in essential and emergency services will be allowed to move during night and weekend curfews on production of valid identity cards.
Officers and employees of the Government of India, its autonomous or subordinate offices and PSUs, shall be required to carry a valid identity card for travel as per the restrictions imposed by the Central Government.
– The judge and all the officers associated with the court, all the staff attached to the court in Delhi as well as the lawyer will have to show the service ID card or travel will be allowed on showing the pass issued by the court management. People involved in the hearing of a case will also have to show the issued admit card or valid document.
Officials and employees in the offices of diplomats of different countries as well as people holding constitutional posts will also be allowed to travel.
– All private medical workers such as doctors, nursing staff, paramedics and other services such as hospitals, diagnostic centres, clinics, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, medical oxygen suppliers and other medical and healthcare professionals will be allowed to travel on production of service ID cards. .
During the curfew, pregnant women and patients will be allowed to travel on showing the doctor’s slip.
People coming and going for COVID-19 test or corona vaccination will be allowed to travel.
Passengers arriving or departing from the airport, all railway stations, inter-state bus terminus will be allowed to travel on production of tickets.
Journalists of print and electronic media will also have to carry ID cards.
Students will be allowed to appear in the examinations on production of the admit card. Also, the employees involved in the examination duty will be allowed to travel by showing the ID card.
On production of a soft or hard copy of the wedding card, 20 persons will be allowed to attend the wedding ceremony.
City buses and metro trains will run at their full capacity this week in view of long queues at various bus stands and metro stations, although it will be mandatory for passengers to wear masks.
