Aurangabad: Various measures are being taken by Aurangabad Municipal Corporation regarding Swachh Survekshan 2022. Municipal Administrator and Commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey asked the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation for the collection of construction and demolition waste (C&D) in the city. Instructions have been given to implement the system immediately.
For the above works in the city, construction work will be done by the city planning department on 24×7 basis on regular basis by constructing new building. Separate control room, vehicle, driver, workshop and employees of puncture unit have been appointed for this.

A control room has been set up in the mechanical workshop. The number mentioned above will be from the control room and will be made available through a separate mobile office. While giving the official building permit by the Town Planning Department, the waste construction material will be picked up at the construction permitted site by paying the C&D fee. After recording the received complaints, the complaint will be forwarded to the driver concerned by entering the location of the complaint, complainant’s name and mobile number. Citizens can register a complaint by contacting the helpline number mentioned above. For this, two JCBs and four tippers will work in two shifts from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm and 6.00 pm to 6.00 am to take up C&D 24×7.
Four mega hoppers to lift debris from the smallest street
As per the order of the Administrator, the vehicles for lifting the debris will be painted in two stripes i.e. dark blue and dark yellow. These vehicles will not be used for any other work related to C&D operations. The actual work to resolve the complaints received from the control room is to be started within two hours and the plan has been ordered.
Vehicles will operate on 24×7 basis
A Puncture Unit Squad has been deputed to repair the punctures of the vehicles performing these works. Told the Deputy Engineer (Mechanical) that as per the orders of Administrator and Commissioner Astik Kumar Pandey, the officers and employees of Mechanical Department would continue to work in Yakami under the guidance of Executive Minister DK Pandit.
