Washim. ST The employees have started a strike for the last 57 days for the main demand of merger of ST Mahamandal into the government, which is still going on. But due to this strike, commuters and school going students are facing a lot of trouble. They are suffering a lot due to the closure of ST bus service, now they are suffering from it, on the other hand 194 ST personnel have been suspended as per the orders of the Mahamandal, similarly 26 ST personnel have also been transferred. But even then ST employees are not taking the name of the strike to end due to sticking to their demand.
There are four depots in Washim district. Out of these, the employees of Mangrulpeer and Risod ST depots have started strike from November 5, 2021, demanding the merger of ST Mahamandal with the government, after which the employees of Washim and Karanja depots have also started strike from last November 7, 2021. Since then, not a single ST bus has run in the district in about 57 days. In the meantime, to break the strike, suspension action has also been taken as per the orders of the Mahamandal.
In this, a total of 194 ST personnel of all the four depots are included, along with this 26 personnel have also been transferred. But the employees are sticking to their demand, due to which ST still in the district. Buses have not started Depot There are 290 employees of Washim depot among the striking employees, out of which 42 have been suspended. Similarly, there are total 219 employees of Karanja Depot, out of which 52 have been suspended.
The total number of striking employees in Risod depot is 231, out of which 44 have been suspended and a total of 224 workers are on strike in Mangrulpeer depot, out of which 52 have been suspended, two buses left from Mangrulpeer. Meanwhile, in the last week, four employees have returned to work at Mangrulpeer depot. Due to which information has been received about leaving two buses in between. During this, everyone’s attention is now focused on this due to the hearing on this coming on 5th January.
