In the meeting of the Standing Committee, the indirect expenditure for this visit was approved.
Municipal elections likely to be held in February of 2022
The next election of Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation is likely to be held on February 22. Despite the legislature’s decision not to hold elections without OBC reservation, the state election commission has started the election process. So, if the elections are held on time, the model code of conduct may come into force by the end of January 22. Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has eight regional offices. There are 16 councilors in each regional office. The Standing Committee in its meeting held on 9th November and 27th December approved the proposal to undertake a study and inspection tour of Panaji, Chandigarh under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. The Standing Committee approved the actual cost of the tour by approving its proposal tabled on the spot in the meeting on Wednesday.
