Nagpur, This year the police took several steps to crack down on the criminals of the city. Now the fear of MPDA has become among the criminals. Nagpur Police is at the fore in the entire state in taking preventive action under the MPDA which has put 63 criminals inside the jail. 2021 has come to an end.
Giving information about the action taken by the police department throughout the year, Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that confusion is spread regarding the crime of the city and Nagpur is called crime capital but it is not so. Crime is under control in the city as compared to previous years. There were 97 murders in the city last year, while this year there have been 94.
The effect of the action taken by the police is now visible and the crime graph is falling in the last few months. If we look at the figures of 20 years, there have been about 100 murders every year. In such a situation, it is wrong to say that crime is increasing. Crime is decreasing due to the action being taken against the criminals.
The city police has taken maximum action of MPDA in the state. 26 actions have been taken in Mumbai, 44 in Pune, 7 in Chinchwad and 9 in Thane. The police has also left no stone unturned in Tadipari. In 2020, 43 criminals were arrested, while this year 90 criminals were driven out of the city.
