In such a situation, the number of corona patients in the city seems to be increasing. Because, after coming from abroad in many societies of the city, the information of the person concerned is being hidden. As a precaution, Thane Mayor Naresh Mhaske has appealed to the city societies to immediately provide information about citizens coming from abroad. In the background of Omicron, citizens coming to Thane from abroad are being screened. But some citizens are hiding the information that they have come from abroad. Along with this, it has also been seen that citizens coming from abroad are getting infected after a few days. The Mayor has appealed that as a precautionary measure, the societies should immediately inform the Thane Municipal Corporation about the nationals coming from abroad, so that it can be facilitated to test them. Also, if the RT-PCR test is positive, citizens will be required to stay in the isolation center as per the government rules, they should stay in the isolation center and cooperate with the municipal administration. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Naresh Mhaske regarding the review of Thane Municipal Corporation’s plan to give booster dose to Thanekars. Instructions have been given to give booster dose
Manish Joshi, deputy commissioner of health department of the Municipal Corporation, said that from January 3, the government has directed to give booster doses to children aged 15 to 18 years, frontline workers and senior citizens above 60 years. Accordingly, Thane Municipal Corporation has made a plan in this regard and under the guidance of Mayor Naresh Mhaske and Commissioner Dr. Vipin Sharma, the booster dose will be given as per the guidelines of the Government. And for this the Municipal Health Department is fully prepared.
