Amravati. On the very first day of the winter session of the state legislature, MLA Sulabha Khodke pulled 10 crores for the government Vidarbha Gyan-Vigyan Sanstha (VMV). To build basic facilities in VMV, this fund has been successful in getting it approved under supplementary demand. Along with this, a fund of Rs 4 crore 56 lakh has been approved in the supplementary demand for the construction of an additional building of 200 beds in the District Women’s Hospital (Duffrin). According to Khodke, this detail has been given in the supplementary statement of expenditure-2021-22 issued by the Finance Department dated 22 December 2021. These funds will be available soon.
Cricket ground and e-library will be built
Along with higher education, the government college with the facility of amendment is completing the century of its establishment. MLA Sulabha Khodke put constant pressure on Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar regarding the expanded campus of Vidarbha College, educational facilities and basic facilities in the present situation and keeping in mind the need of the coming times. There is a need to realize the advanced curriculum and modern practitioner, international class e-library attached to higher education in this institution. Along with this, it is also necessary to build a modern cricket ground, walking track for the students to play.
Walking track plan
Due to the estimated expenditure of 50 crores for this, MLA Sulabha Khodke demanded by sending a detailed proposal in this regard to Finance Minister Ajit Pawar. Accepting their demand, the DCM assured to make the funds available in a phased manner. During this, in the budget session on March 8, 2021, DCM Pawar had announced to sanction a fund of Rs 10 crore in the first phase for the construction of new educational undertakings and infrastructure in VMV. Now in the winter session, 10 crore more have been approved under supplementary demand. Due to which 20 crore rupees have been approved for the development of VMV in a year. According to the MLA, soon funds will be available and will be spent on development works in VMV.
4.56 crore approved for Dufferin
A fund of Rs 4 crore 56 lakh has also been approved in the supplementary demand for the winter session for the construction of an extended building of 200 beds in Dufferin. In this way, during his tenure of two years, funds of Rs 38 crore have been made available for the new building. Due to which the work of new building is in progress. MLA Khodke has given information about the implementation of District Women’s Government Hospital (Duffrin) with physical facilities.
