Husband absconding by strangling his wife, out of police custody for the second day as well
Bhandara, The incident of strangling his wife came to light on Tuesday afternoon on the local Mendha Road. This accused husband was absconding from Tuesday till the time of writing the news, the police was out of custody. Bakshita Meshram (27) is the name of such a deceased married woman. So Vilas Dhanraj Meshram (35) resident of Pandharbodi of Tehsil is the name of such accused husband.
According to the information received, the maternal uncle of the deceased woman Bakshita is in the Mendha complex of the city. Pati Vilas used to doubt the character of the wife. There was always a dispute between these two. Troubled by the constant controversy, Bakshita had come to live in a rented room on Mendha Road in Bhandara a few days ago with her two sons. She was making a living by doing fruit business. Vilas was working as a driver cum cleaner on this truck.
On Monday 20th December, he came towards Bakshita and stayed in the night. It is being speculated that he must have appealed to him to go back to the village. Due to this, there was a dispute between them and on Tuesday 21 afternoon, he escaped after suffocating wife Bakshita with the pallu of the sari.
It is worth mentioning here that the deceased Bakshita had tried to commit suicide last year also by consuming poison. She was cured after a long treatment. But in the dispute between these two, she had come to stay at her maternal home. The accused husband Vilas is absconding till the time of writing this news and the police is searching for Vilas. In this case, the Bhandara police have registered a case and further investigation is on.
