Noida: The doctor couple, living in a society located in police station Surajpur area, committed suicide by consuming poisonous substances. Together they have also written a suicide note in which the couple has accused some people of abetting suicide. Police is investigating the incident.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Harish Chander said that Dr Satyendra Singh Nijhawan (58 years) and his wife Jaswant Kaur (56 years), living in Paramount Society located in Zeta sector of police station Surajpur area, committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance. He told that the matter was informed to the police by his son Dr Taranpreet Singh Nijhawan alias Tanu. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the bodies of both of them and sent them for post-mortem.

The DCP said that during the investigation, the police came to know that the couple is originally from Kirti Nagar in Delhi. Some time ago these people had come to live in Greater Noida. He told that he is having a dispute with some people regarding property in Kirti Nagar of Delhi.
He told that the deceased have written a suicide note, in which they have accused some people of forcing them to commit suicide. He said that the body has been sent for post-mortem after taking possession. The police is investigating the matter keeping all the aspects in mind. He said that those who have been accused by the deceased are being questioned.
