Pune: A case of cheating of two and a half lakh rupees has come to the fore on the pretext of giving a chance to young actors to act in short films. Kothrud Police has arrested one in this case. Court has ordered to keep him in police custody for 4 days. Mohan alias Rajashasri Manohar Kulkarni (Shivaji Nagar, Palghar) has been arrested. A 34-year-old girl has lodged a complaint with the Kothrud police station in this matter.
According to the information given by the police, Mohan Kulkarni was living in Delhi and Mumbai under the name Raja Shastri. In the field of art, drama as well as music, he used to trap budding artists in his trap. He had met the victim girl in October. He dreamed of giving her a chance to act in a short film. After that he took 99 thousand 238 rupees from the complainant on the pretext of different types of taxes. Along with this, Rs 95 thousand 944 from the maternal uncle of the girl and Rs 29 thousand 944 from another person, a total of two and a half lakh rupees have been taken. After that he did not give any kind of work. When demanded to return the money, he evaded.
