Mumbai: The Cyber Cell of Mumbai Police has arrested a 25-year-old man from Majestic Casino in Goa for allegedly marrying a female doctor from Andheri area. 20 lakh was cheated on the pretext. The accused, who identified himself as a stock broker from Gujarat, told the victim and took money from her within 20 days and said that he would invest it in the stock market for his future. Investigation has revealed that he was in contact with four other women, but the police have not received any other complaint so far.
According to the police, the complainant, who is a 31-year-old MBBS doctor. Was looking for a match on the matrimonial site, when she met the accused, the accused identified himself as Kshitij Desai and started talking to her. After a few days of WhatsApp chats and video calls, they fell in love and decided to get married. The complainant never had any doubts as he had seen her picture and used to talk to her over video call.
