WazirX fragmented its userbase and reported that 66% of the total users of the platform are under the age of 35. It is also reported that the number of new female users has seen an increase of 1,009% this year. At the same time, 829% more men join this platform.
WazirX in its release statement said that the number of users associated with smaller cities like Guwahati, Karnal, Bareilly also saw a 700% increase. This shows that there is a growing interest in cryptocurrencies among people in rural and semi-urban areas in India.
Not only this, this year there was a tremendous response from the people regarding NFT (Non-Fungible Token). While sharing the data, the company said that this year 962 creators created about 12,600 NFTs in the WazirX NFT Marketplace and out of these 5,267 tokens were sold, which is worth about 262,896 WRX (approximately Rs 2.4 crore).
