During October (October 2021) industrial production in the country has registered a growth of 3.2 percent. According to the data released by the National Statistical Office ie NSO, there was a growth of 4.5 percent in IIP in October 2020 and it increased by 3.1 percent in September. IIP fell a lot last year due to corona infection
The slowdown in industrial production (IIP) during the last few months was due to the decline in industrial activity after Corona, but the latest data from the IIP indicates that the effect of the low base effect is now gradually easing. During April to October this year, a 20 per cent increase was registered in IIP. At the same time, in the last year (2020), between April and October, there was an increase of 17.3 percent in IIP.
Last year there was a huge decline in industrial production due to Corona infection. There was a sharp decline of 18.7 per cent in industrial production due to the almost halt of industrial activities since March. Whereas in April 2020, this decline increased to 57.3 percent.
