Ms Srivastava said in a tweet that my heart is broken.
In the wake of the COVID-19 global pandemic, inmates were not yet allowed to meet family members in the jail. Police officials said that since Thursday morning, family members have been allowed to meet the prisoners.
The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3 arrested 23-year-old Aryan Khan and a few others in connection with the seizure of drugs from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast. A special court in the metropolis had on Wednesday refused bail to Aryan Khan, saying that prima facie he appears to be regularly involved in drug-related activities.
The court had said that even from the WhatsApp chat, prima facie it appears that he was in contact with drug smugglers. Aryan Khan has now moved the Bombay High Court against the order of the lower court. The Bombay High Court will hear Aryan Khan’s bail plea on October 26.
