So that the general public gets relief.
Minister of State for Information Farooq Habib has defended the rising oil prices and said that the price in Pakistan is very low according to the increase in the price of oil in the international market. At the same time, he has said that the price of oil has increased due to the corona epidemic.
Habib further said in his statement citing a report from USA that this is the biggest increase in inflation since 1970. Not only this, Habib has also blamed the IMF behind the rising oil prices.

Inflation increased by 12.66 percent
According to the weekly report of the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), inflation in the country has increased to 12.66 per cent, compared to 0.2 per cent last week. Due to this, the prices of tomatoes, potatoes and ghee have reached the sky. The bureau said in its report that till the last one week, the prices of 22 items, which include tomato, ghee, potato, mutton and LPG cylinders, have increased.
