Tata Tigor EV launched in India: Tata Motors on Tuesday launched its second electric vehicle Tigor EV. Its price has been kept between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 13.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The model comes in three variants, which are priced at Rs 11.99 lakh, Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 12.99 lakh respectively. The top variant with dual tone can be purchased for Rs 13.14 lakh.
Received 4-star rating for safety
This model has received a 4-star rating for adult and child safety from the Global NCAP. Along with this, it is available with an ARAI certified range of 306 kms.

The vehicle offers a peak power output of 55 kW and peak torque of 170 Nm. Apart from this, a 26-kWh liquid-cooled, high energy density battery pack and IP 67 rated battery pack comes with a battery and motor warranty of eight years and 1,60,000 km. The new Tigor EV comes with the globally accepted CCS2 charging protocol. And it can be charged fast and slow through any 15A plug point.
At the launch, Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors said that there has been more adoption of electric vehicles globally and it is now visible in the Indian market as well. He further said that it is related to the customer experience, which has improved manifold in the last one year. He mentioned that with the development of the ecosystem, now the customers in the country are ready to move towards the electric segment.
