LG Electronics has developed a new power amplifier with a Fraunhofer-Gesel shaft to deliver stable communication signals over the 6G terahertz spectrum.

While there is no consensus on 5G technology in India, LG Electronics said that it has successfully demonstrated 6G data transmission using terahertz spectrum. This South Korean tech giant is trying to move forward in the next generation of communication technology. LG was successful in sending a 100m 6G terahertz wireless communication signal to the outdoor environment last week in collaboration with the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Europe’s leading application-oriented research organization, in Berlin.
LG said it has developed a new power amplifier with a Fraunhofer-Gesel shaft to deliver stable communication signals over the 6G terahertz spectrum. According to the Yonhap news agency report, the ultrawide band spectrum has a short frequency coverage range, while the power loss in antenna transmission and receiving processes is severe, the demand for advanced power amplifiers to solve such problems it occurs.
LG’s new amplifier can give maximum output
LG said its new amplifier can deliver a maximum output signal of 15 decibel-milliwatts for stable communication in the 155-175 GHz band. The company said it has also developed adaptive beamforming and high-gain antenna switching technology for 6G terahertz wireless communication performance.
Users will get better connectivity experience
LG expects to commercialize 6G communication in 2029, while talks for its standardization will begin in 2025. The company believes that the next generation telecommunication network can offer faster data speeds, shorter downtime and more reliability than 5G and will be able to bring the vision of ambient Internet of Everything, which will provide better connectivity experience to the users.
LG set up a 6G research center with Kayastha in 2019 and signed an agreement with the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science last year to study 6G technology. In June, the company’s lead researcher was elected president of the Applications Working Group at the NextG Alliance, a North American mobile technology stance for 6G solution development.
Obviously, misleading things were spread among the people regarding 5G in India, which was later given clarity. Not only this, actress Juhi Chawla also reached the court in protest against this.
