Hero MotoCorp is celebrating its 10th anniversary in India and has shown a glimpse of its e-scooter for the first time at an event organized on the occasion. This scooter can be launched in late 2021 or early 2022. Hero MotoCorp Chairman and Managing Director Pawan Munjal has told the company’s plans for electric vehicles on the occasion of the 10th anniversary.

Munjal in conversation with Harace Luke, Founder and CEO, Gogoro Inc. Hero will launch an electric two-wheeler in India in collaboration with this company, which will use battery swapping technology. Gogoro Inc. is reputed EV Manufacturer based in Taiwan. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary, he gave a glimpse of the electric scooter, about which he said that Hero MotoCorp’s CIT (Center for Innovation and Technology) is working on it.
Earlier it is being speculated that Hero MotoCorp’s first electric scooter will be an electric version of Maestro Edge. But now its glimpse has disproved these guesses. The scooter shown in the video appears to be ready for production and should be launched by the end of this year or early 2022. It looks different from any other Hero product.

In April this year, Hero MotoCorp and Gogoro had announced an agreement under which Gogoro’s battery swapping platform would be launched in India. Both will work on the development of electric vehicles and will bring vehicles from the Hero brand and the Gogoro network in the market.
