Farmer Protest: Security has been tightened around Jantar Mantar for the protest of farmers against the agriculture bill during the monsoon session. According to the information, adequate security arrangements have been made and police and paramilitary forces have been deployed. Jantar Mantar is just a few meters away from the Parliament House where the monsoon session is currently going on. A group of 200 farmers present on the Singhu border opposing the agriculture bill will come to Jantar Mantar with a police escort and will protest here from 11 am to 5 pm. BKU leader Rakesh Tikait says that ‘Kisan Sansad’ will sit at Jantar Mantar and he will monitor the proceedings of Parliament.
Farmer leader Prem Singh Bhangu, who is present on the Singhu border, says that after Delhi, his next stop will be Uttar Pradesh and this mission will start from September 5. Bhangu says that he will completely isolate BJP from BJP’s heartland UP. He said that there is no other option but to repeal all the three agriculture laws.
