According to Snapchat, the new update to 3D Bitmoji gives users an entirely new way to express themselves and their personalities on the platform.

Popular social media platform Snapchat is introducing a new look for its users, which now includes 3D Bitmoji features. The company said in a statement that more than 200 million people use Bitmoji every day. Snapchat will soon be able to browse over 1,200 combinations of body poses, facial expressions, gestures and backgrounds to make your digital avatar more public.
From peace signs and prayer hands to beautiful beaches and trendy animal print backgrounds, users can now customize their 3D Bitmojis to suit every mood, it said. Using Pixar-quality 3D capabilities, users will see detailed detail on their customized photos. The exquisite ornamentation from her favorite fashion label to the texture of the fabric and the scintillation of her avatar’s earrings.
Snapchat said its new look will allow users to see a three-dimensional version of themselves on their Snapchat profiles and friendship profiles. According to the company, the new update gives users a completely new way to express themselves and their personality on the platform.
Bitmoji joined Snap in 2016
The Bitmoji app brings visual identity and emotion to content and games, and adds more nuance and expression to everyday conversations, the company said. Bitmoji joined the Snap family in the summer of 2016 and is used by over 300 million people every month.
This will include options to edit, such as quickly changing your outfit, or sharing hair styles and profiles – so Snapchatters can have the option to share their customized 3D Bitmoji with their friends on and off Snapchat.
The company recently acquired 3D service provider Vertebre
Snapchat’s parent company Snap recently acquired Vertebrae, a 3D augmented reality service provider, although the amount of this acquisition has not been disclosed at this time. According to the company, the Vertebre team will continue to develop the platform for existing and new clients.
Vince Kakes, CEO of Vertebre, said, “We are thrilled to be working with Snap as we continue to strengthen and take our world-class 3D asset platform forward for retailers and brands. Vertebre has raised about $10 million in venture finance capital so far, and has Toyota, Adidas and a few other large companies as clients.
Snap acquired augmented reality (AR) display provider WaveOptics in May to power its new Spectacles glasses. According to the report, more than $ 500 million has been taken. Founded in 2014, WaveOptics has raised $65 million in finance capital to date.
