Amazon founder Jeff Bezos took a space walk with three others on Tuesday evening. Bezos was accompanied by his brother Mark, Mercury 13 aviator Wally Funk and 18-year-old Oliver Daemen on this 11-minute walk. After completing the journey, the space capsule made a landing in Texas. The eyes of the world were fixed on this space trip, because a few days ago British billionaire Richard Branson had traveled to space. In such a situation, it is believed that the space race of billionaires has started in the world. However, they say that these people want to make space travel available to everyone.
Bezos flew to space through the New Shepard launching vehicle of his company Blue Origin. During this, the billionaire was seen sitting inside the space capsule. At the same time, two records were made during this journey, which people were already aware of. The first record in this was that Wally became the oldest person in the world to go to Funk space. At the same time, the second record was made that 18-year-old Oliver Damon became the youngest person in the world to go into space. The excitement could be seen on the faces of all the astronauts during the journey.
For the first time humans were sent into space through New Shepard
Let us tell you that Jeff Bezos founded Blue Origin in 2000. Since 2015, more than 15 unmanned missions were tested through New Shepard. But this was the first time that humans were sent to space through this. Significantly, many companies of the world are in the field regarding the space tour. This includes Elon Musk’s SpaceX and Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic. These companies say that they will work to make space tours cheaper and easier for all the people of the world.
Where did Jeff Bezos’s spacecraft reach?
New Shepard reached the edge of space, known as the Karman Line. The International Aeronautics Body has outlined this line, which is considered the boundary between Earth’s atmosphere and space. Yet, reaching a height of 100 km, Bezos covered a greater distance than Branson. Branson flew to an altitude of 86 km during his journey. Bezos said before the trip that he was very excited about this trip, but he was not feeling nervous.
