Adani Group has appointed Mumbai Airport Chief Executive Officer (CEO) RK Jain as the CEO of its airports business. He will succeed Ben Zandi who will now take over as the CEO of the non-aerial business at Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL). The change comes after AAHL took over the management of Mumbai Airport International Airport Limited (MIAL) from GVK group last week. AAHL is a subsidiary of the Adani Group, which is engaged in the business of airports.
According to a notification issued on July 17, AAHL President (Operations) Prakash Tulsiani will take over as the CEO of Mumbai Airport. Apart from this, the group has also decided to shift the headquarters of AAHL from Mumbai to Ahmedabad.

It was only last week that the Adani Group took over the command of the Mumbai airport. Gautam Adani had given information about this by tweeting. Earlier, the command of Lucknow, Mangaluru and Ahmedabad airports has also been handed over to the Adani Group. Now this will be the fourth airport in the country, which will be commanded by Adani Group.

The first phase of the airport is expected to be completed by 2023-24. According to the statement, the ownership of MIAL has changed. GVK Airports Developers held 50.5 percent stake which was bought by Adani Airport Holdings Limited. The change in ownership has been approved by the central government, the Securities and Exchange Board of India, among others.
