For a long time, rumors are coming out about the tweet edit button. Meanwhile, Blue subscription has been launched in Australia and Canada. In such a situation, now the edit button can also come soon.
Twitter users have been demanding an edit button for a long time. However, this feature was denied by CEO Jack Dorsey, who said that the app will never get an edit button. But, Twitter introduced the Undo button with its Blue subscription, which does more or less the same thing. Now Twitter’s Head of Product Kavyon Baykapur wants users to know if they will pay for the edit button.
Twitter may be working on an edit button, but it may be limited to paid subscribers only. Baykapour shared a poll on his personal handle asking users to get an option to edit the tweets. He wrote, “f @TwitterBlue lets you edit tweets within minutes of posting, would you like to subscribe? Tell me why answer yes/no!
if @TwitterBlue let you edit tweets within a few minutes of posting them, would you want to subscribe? let me know why yes/no in the replies!

Most of the users said- no
After this, more than 68.4 percent of users have selected the “No” button, while only 31.6 percent of users have agreed to pay for the edit feature. Twitter may be considering this feature, and Beykapour also indicated that the feature will let users edit tweets minutes after they have been posted.
Dorsey indicated in 2020 that Twitter might never get an edit button as he wanted to preserve the original design of Twitter which was primarily an SMS, text messaging service.
“We started as an SMS, text messaging service. And as you all know, when you send a text, you can’t really get it back. We wanted to preserve that vibe, that feeling in the early days, they said, by enabling the edit button to allow users to correct their typos, users can even edit their tweets to mislead people. So, these are all thoughts. We probably would never do that.
Twitter introduced the Twitter Blue subscription plan in Australia and Canada last month. Many features were available in the subscription, while its price was $3.49. Although this feature has not been launched in India yet, the subscription price on the app has been seen at Rs 269 per month. The price is no longer visible on the App Store.
