Dhanush, who made this cycle, says that the cost of electricity used for this battery is much less than that of petrol. With this, a journey of 50 km can be done at the cost of just Rs 1.50.
Solar Powered Electric Cycle
The price of petrol is increasing continuously, in the meantime most people are turning their attention towards electric vehicles or CNG vehicles. At the same time, there are some people who are also manufacturing affordable vehicles which can also be adopted on a large scale. Something similar has been done by a college student living in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. This student has designed a solar powered electric bicycle which can cover long distances at very low cost.
The name of the student who made this solar powered electric cycle is Dhanush Kumar. Dhanush has installed a battery on the rear side of this cycle i.e. the carrier and has mounted the solar panel in the front. With the help of this solar panel, this cycle can travel up to 50 kilometers continuously. Apart from this, if the charging goes down, then it can be driven up to 20 kilometers.

Can ride up to 50 km in just Rs 1.50
Dhanush has used 24 volt and 26 amp capacity battery in this electric cycle. Apart from this, it has a 350W brush motor and an accelerator has been installed in the handlebar to increase the speed. Dhanush explains that the cost of electricity used for this battery is much lower than that of petrol. With this, a journey of 50 km can be done at the cost of just Rs 1.50. This electric cycle can be driven at a maximum speed of 30 to 40 kilometers.
