In a recent tweet, UIDAI has told people how to avoid AADHAAR card fraud and has also told how Aadhaar can be verified offline and online.
Aadhar Card
Online fraud cases are increasing continuously. Thugs are now making people their victims not only through OTP and fake links, but fraud is also being done through Aadhaar card. The main reason for this is that all our information is present in the Aadhar card and it is used to verify ourselves from bank to everywhere. Taking advantage of this, thugs are now committing fraud through Aadhar card.
That’s why UIDAI has recently made a tweet telling people how to avoid such frauds. Aadhar card comes with a 12 digit number, which can be verified from the official UIDAI website. This will avoid fraud and there will be no problem. Apart from this, it is very important to verify the Aadhaar before using it as a proof, which must be done.
Verify your Aadhar card like this
If you want to verify your Aadhar card then you can scan the QR code given on Aadhaar card to verify offline. On the other hand, to do online verification, you will have to enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number and captcha code by adopting this link resident.uidai.gov.in/verify. After this your card will be verified. Apart from this, you can also verify it through mAadhaar app.

How to protect yourself from AADHAAR card fraud
If you are downloading your Aadhar card from a public computer, then delete it immediately after the work is done.
Do not share your one-time password (OTP) with others under any circumstances.
Do not allow your mobile number to be linked with another’s Aadhaar or add someone else’s mobile number on your Aadhaar card.
Always use the virtual ID of the Aadhar card. In this, a 16 digit Aadhar card will be available which can be used in place of Aadhar card.
Always keep your biometric locked which can be downloaded from the UIDAI portal and can be unlocked with the registered mobile number.
