India Russia News: Regarding the relationship between India and Russia, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has said that it is one of the most important stable relations after the Second World War. He said that India is looking forward to welcoming Putin.
India Russia Bilateral Relations: External Affairs Minister of India S. Jaishankar said on Thursday that India-Russia relations are one of the most stable relations in the world after World War II and India looks forward to welcoming President Vladimir Putin for the annual bilateral summit. Speaking on the topic of a changing world at the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations in Moscow, Jaishankar said that these relationships are sometimes taken lightly.
He said that the continued prosperity of these relations is a big factor. “There is no doubt that India-Russia relations are one of the most stable in the world after World War II,” he said. Jaishankar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin have met 19 times since 2014. He said, ‘This fact in itself tells a lot. We are certainly looking forward to welcoming President Putin upon his arrival in India for the annual bilateral summit.
