Battleground Mobile India’s pre-registrations on the Google Play Store for Android users reached 40 million with 20 million users participating in the game’s early access launch.

The much awaited Battlegrounds Mobile India, the rebranded Indian variant of PUBG Mobile, was launched in the country for Android users on July 2. The performance of this game has been great in India. Meanwhile, CH Kim, CEO, Crafton, said in a statement, “Battleground Mobile India will provide our Indian fans and gamers with a great gaming experience. We at Crafton are delighted to present Battleground Mobile India to our fans in India today.”
The game’s developer, Crafton, has now revealed via a blog post that Battlegrounds Mobile India pre-registrations on the Google Play Store for Android reached 40 million, with 20 million users participating in the game’s early access launch. . Battlegrounds Mobile India went live for pre-registration on the Google Play Store on 18 May.
Highest earning in 24 hours
Within 24 hours of the game’s launch, Battlegrounds Mobile India became the highest-grossing game on the Google Play Store, surpassing Garena Free Fire. At present, this game has been downloaded more than 10 million on the Play Store. It is not surprising to see such a response for Battlegrounds Mobile India as its earlier avatar PUBG was highly popular in India. PUBG fans have been waiting for the game to return to India for a long time, following the deadly clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley, after PUBG was banned along with several other Chinese apps last year.
Gamers get access to Battleground Mobile India
After the ban on PUBG Mobile last year, Crafton announced that it would launch PUBG Mobile India for Indian users with custom features and some changes as well. The game was finally opened for pre-registration from May 18. According to the company, Early Access for the game started on June 17 and has received tremendous support from the group with 20 million players. Gamers who got early access to the game can now update it on the Google Play Store to play the official version.
Recently, Crafton announced via a social media post that the data transfer service from PUBG Mobile to Battlegrounds Mobile India will be temporarily suspended from July 6 until further notice. It said in a blog post, “We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the temporary suspension of data transfer. Those who want to transfer their data, please do so before 6th July.”
However, there is no information on the launch of the game for iOS users and Crafton is yet to be updated on the same.
